High pressure water jetting is a highly effective cleaning method. Depending on the pressure, flow rate and nozzle configuration used, pressurized water can be used for a spectrum of applications ranging from low-pressure biofilm surface cleaning, to descaling, to removal of old coating and rust at 3,000 bar (43,000 PSI).
A small amount of abrasive material can be added to speed up the process. The abrasive additive allows the use of a high pressure water jetting to prepare the surface for the next technological steps.
Used water can be captured and reused, significantly reducing waste.
